Behavior Problems
Reccomended books on how to solve various dog behavior problems are listed below; click the links for a review of each title. This is not a commercial listing; they are actual recommendations that I would give a client. I don’t earn any money off the sale of these books.
Dog Problems: The Gentle Modern Solution: A good overview of common behavior problems and how to deal with them.
Dogs are from Neptune: A supurb book for anyone dealing with aggression problems in their dog.
The Cautious Canine: A must-own for those with shy or fear-aggressive dogs. If all dog training guides had advice this good, behaviourists might loose business!
Mine!: If your dog guards his food, bed, or other resources, look no further. The advice you need is right here in this wonderful little book.
Dog Aggression Workbook: Excellent resource for owners of aggressive dogs.
Dog Aggression: Biting (video): Teaches the viewer about aggression, how it develops, and ways to prevent it. Not so useful for solving existing aggression problems.
Bite Busters: Learn about dog aggression and how to prevent bites. Not really a training book, but great for those wanting to learn more about dog aggression.
The Dog Who Loved Too Much: Absolutely supurb, ultimately readable book on dog behavior problems from one of the foremost experts in the field.
I’ll be Home Soon!: If your dog suffers from seperation anxiety, the advice you need is right here.
